We sailed with Alex Wellems today and spent the day putting fish in the box. Within a couple of hours, we had five nice-looking bass on deck. Next was some bottom fishing and we loaded up with sea bass. Lastly, we stopped for some fluke and added a few flatties to the catch. An absolute great day on the water!

Tote o' sea bass. It's great to finally be able to keep them!

I didn't get to join Kenny and Sue this year, but Steve and Gil had some fun with them this morning. The bass were pretty uncooperative early on and getting them to eat was a challenge. But the gang stuck it out and fished hard and ultimately put some meat in the box. Not too shabby, guys! Hope you enjoy the eats!

We had the pleasure of fishing yet again with a crew from Jefferson's Ferry. We sailed this morning in search of some slob bass. Admittedly, it was a slow start. The ocean was beyond crowded and apparently not many people know how to be courteous on the water (one, in particular, may have caused me to get slightly upset today...no names!). Anyhoooo.....by mid-morning, as the Flood got going, the fishing improved and we managed to land some nice bass, including one close to 45 pounds. A great time with these guys. Looking forward to our shark trip in August. Thanks again for the laughs today!

Spent the morning fishing with Geoff, Chris, Joe and Marshall and laughed for five hours straight. Fishing could have been a little better. Tons of boats spooked the bass, but we managed a couple of nice bass in between the bluefish. Geoff tells me he's going to book us for the entire season next year...in Nantucket. Can't wait for that one! Great morning, guys. Thanks for the laughs!

Joe's hooked up...though I think this may have been a bluefish.

Today we sailed with John Iacone and crew. As has been the norm, the guys limited out with bass in the mid-30lb range early in the trip, after which we switched over for some fluke (which was not as fruitful as the bass fishing!). We had a great morning and hope to get these guys out with us again.
