The afternoon fishing proved a little more difficult today. Fewer bites and we had to work hard for the ones we had. But the boys had a blast and they put a few fish away for dinner.  

Our first trip of the season was a great one, with Pete putting the first keeper fluke in the box. The guys went home with a few fish, and we released even more shorts. Lots of small fish in the mix, but they kept the rods bent all day. Great time with the crew! 

We squeezed in another trip with Marc and Max today. The togs were not cooperative in the early hours for us, but once we got ‘em chewing, it was easy pickin’. The father and son combo loaded the boat with a limit of blackfish, topped off with a couple of sea bass and cod.

We had Andy, Nick and the boys from “Hook It Up!” fishing club out for some togging today. The fish made us work for them, but the guys did an impressive job of boxing three dozen tog, along with a few sea bass and cod. Great weather made for an outstanding trip. The guys are already in the books for next year’s Thanksgiving Day weekend!

We took an exploratory trip with Tim Schweitzer and crew today. Wanted to try some new bottom we haven’t yet fished this season. The action wasn’t lock and load, but there were some quality fish in the mix. We ended up with our limit of blackfish, a handful of sea bass and a couple of cod. That’s a good day of fishing in our books, not to mention the usual laughs with these guys! Until next summer!

It was a chilly day for Jeff and gang, but the fish didn’t mind. We iced up plenty tog for the table before heading in back to the barn. Great day for these first timers.

Another stellar trip in the books with Paul “Nice Guy” Galeno. Left early to get in some fishing before the weather moves in. The boys slayed the blackfish with an easy limit and then some, along with a couple of cod. Great day, even if a short one. We’re looking forward to seeing Nice Guy again for his annual July striped bass and fluke trip in 2021.

Another great trip in the books with Pat and crew. Despite less than ideal conditions this morning, the guys did a bang-up job once we were set up with rods in the water. Another easy limit of blackfish to 10 pounds, and then had fun fishing for upgrades. Couldn’t have asked for a better bite.
