Juliette took Jeff and the boys to school today! We ran about 20 miles for some offshore sea bass fishing where the crew loaded the boat with their limit of fish. Then headed back inshore for a quick blackfish bite and filled a basket with another dozen or togs. The cold weather has moved in, but the fish are still chewing. We're enjoying these last few trips, as our season will be wrapping up in a few weeks.
After being tied up for a few days due to the continuing wind, it was great getting the off the dock today with Nick and the boys. We made a steam to get to the fishing grounds, where it paid off nicely with a limit of blackfish. Even found a striped bass swimming with the togs. A perfectly beautiful fall day of fishing!
After a few more days of wind (again!), it was great getting out today.
We had Paulie and the gang out for a some black fishing today. The guys kept their limit up to 6 pounds, and released the rest. Nice job boys!
We had Steve and the boys out again today. The guys had a great day catching their limit of nice sea bass.
After being undecided about whether to go striped bass or sea bass fishing, and since we were getting out for the end of the tide, we decided to go bottom fishing. It was the right call, as the guys kept busy with some jumbo sea bass, ultimately filling the box with a few dozen fish. Great conditions, great fishing. Can't ask for anything more.
We had the pleasure of fishing for the first time with Don and crew today. Made it out for a beautiful sunrise, which was quickly hidden by clouds and some rain. But when the tide got going, the fish started chewing and the group of 9 boxed their limit of striped bass, along with a few bluefish, and also released a couple of albies. Great trip! Hoping to see them again next October.
The sun didn’t last long today, but that didn’t stop the fish from chewing for Don and the boys.
We had Myron and the gang out this morning. They had non-stop action with their limit of bass and some jumbo sea bass to round out the day.
The day’s not even close to over and the guys already loaded up with their limit of striped bass.
