Ben Schneider and the crew from Smith Haven Auto made a shark trip with us today. It was a first for this team and, admittedly, the action was a little slower than I would have hoped for. We had a couple of mystery bites, along with a 100-lb blue shark that the guys had fun taking turns fighting, and which was ultimately successfully released to swim another day. For such a small shark, he put up a good fight. Looking forward to getting these guys out with us again for some better action!
First-timer Saro and friends fished with us this morning. We were able to squeeze the trip in before the rain got here. The fish were a little picky and the conditions were a little choppy, but the gang managed to put some nice fish in the box. Plenty for dinner. Hoping for better weather next time.
This afternoon we had Dean Campbell and his family out. The crew had a nice afternoon catching sea bass and fluke. Looking forward to seeing them all again.
This morning Danny and the boys put a hurting on big bass to 46 pounds. Great way to start the day. Nice job guys! Looking forward to having them out again.
The action didn’t disappoint this morning, with bass up to 45+ lbs
We had Ralph and the guys out for a day offshore. The gang saw some sharks as well as a ton of whales that were swimming around the boat most of the day. Always cool watching them play by the boat. Looking forward to seeing them next season.
We had Arnie and Simon out for their first trip of the season. The guys filled the box with striped bass as well as sea bass.
