This morning we had Eric from Stewart, Florida and his crew sail with us. He wanted to try some Montauk fishing. We had some nice bass before the tide quit. After we lost the tide we did a bang up job on jumbo sea bass. Looking forward to getting him out again with his father.
We sailed with Dan and the gang today for a full day of bass and bottom fishing. We started the trip bottom fishing and had great action immediately, putting a limit of sea bass in the box. We switched tactics later in the morning, once the tide got going, and the guys put a few nice bass in the box as well. A great group who we hope to see again next year!

The boys were out for Billy's bachelor party this afternoon, which included a surprise (we hid him down below) visit from Dad. Was awesome! We started the trip bottom fishing and put some nice sea bass in the box. Then switched over for striped bass. It was a bit nautical and we might have had a puker or two (or three), but the guys stuck it out for a little while, just long enough to land a few bass. A great group of guys with lots of laughs, despite the conditions. Congrats, Billy!
Nice fish for the soon-to-be-hubby.
Bachelor party showing off with one of this afternoon's catch.
Had the pleasure of fishing with Steve Ratkewitch again this year, along with his crew. I must admit, while we had a great time with the guys, we struggled with the bass. The fish were stubborn during the earlier part of the tide, but even when the bite turned on, we had some challenges getting them into the boat. Fortunately, the guys aren't going home empty-handed, but I still would have liked to put a few more fish in their cooler. Guess you can't win 'em all, though that doesn't make me feel any better!

Today we had a change of pace and fished offshore for tuna and shark. The gang had a great day. We saw porpoises, caught some bluefin, as well as some blue sharks. The weather was beautiful and we had lots of action all day. It was nice to get offshore.
This morning we had Ed and his crew for some morning bass fishing. We had our limit up to 35 pounds. It was flat calm for a change, the east wind finally let up. Looking forward to seeing the gang next season.
