Steve and the boys returned for another trip and the action was fast and furious. The crew boxed over three dozen sea bass and added another dozen scup to that. Had to fight through the dogfish, but it was well worth it. Until next year, guys!
The guys hammered the sea bass today. Here's a few of the catch.
Today we had Anton and his crew out for a morning of sea bass fishing. The guys worked hard and put a nice catch together. Then on the way home we had a small mishap and lost our steering. Sometimes boats are just the greatest. A few hours back at the dock and better than new. I'm just fortunate that I was able to get it fixed before Jill came out!
Peter and the guys made their annual tog trip with us today and they kept the rods bent from start til stop. Lots of short fish in the mix but great action and the boys are going home with plenty. Looking forward to doing it again next year!
Had the pleasure of fishing with first-timers Jim O'Connell and crew today. The guys originally booked the trip as a blackfish charter and were set on toggin, so we gave it a try despite the less-than-encouraging tog reports these last few weeks. The decision paid off nicely and the guys filled the box with a mix of blackfish and sea bass. A great way to bring the month to its end. Hoping we'll see them again next year.
The boys wanted togs and togs we got! Along with a nice mix of sea bass.
After a couple of days of rough weather it was great to be out with John and the boys this afternoon. We had to fight through some dogfish, and ended up putting two dozen nice sea bass in the box. We have some open weekdays if you are looking for some great bottom fishing.
We had the crew from Jacob Hamilton Gardens out for a second trip this season. The gang had a great afternoon catching almost three dozen sea bass to 4 pounds.
