July 23, 2023 (Trip 2)

Back in 2021 we raffled off a half day charter as part of our support to Hooks for Heroes. Today, John and his crew cashed in on winning that trip, spending the afternoon fishing with us. We started the trip off fishing for striped bass, and quickly three slots in the box. We wrapped up topping off that catch with the nice catch of a dozen or so sea bass. Perfect weather, great fishing, excellent company, and all for a good cause. We’ll see John again this fall for the annual FDNY fishing trip in September.

July 23, 2023 (Trip 1)

Steve and the boys came out this morning for their annual fishing trip with us. We started off making a couple of swipes with the wire, and the boys landed two slot striped bass and a couple of bluefish for the smoker. We quickly switched over to bottom fishing and managed to put 15 quality sea bass in the box. A perfect morning for these guys. We’ll see them again next summer.

We had our annual trip with Paul “Nice Guy” Galeno today, and the crew did a great job of loading the boat with fish  They wanted to target fluke, so we spent the day bottom fishing. The fluke were being a little picky, but the gang managed a catch of around 15 flatties, as well as a bunch of sea bass and ling. Another great trip in the books for this group. We’ll see Paul in October for his annual Blackfish trip.

July 20, 2023 (Trip 2)

We were lucky enough to get Matt out, after canceling Sundays trip, due to the weather. They caught 2 slots, releasing the overs. Next up, was a limit of sea bass.

July 20, 2023 (Trip 1)

The weather was perfect for Frank’s first trip of the season. We had one slot and one over, then decided to go bottom fishing. They iced up a limit of jumbo sea bass, before calling it quits. See these guys again in the fall.

July 19, 2023

We had a solid day of fishing for Joe’s second trip of the season. They started with 3 slot sized bass, throwing back the overs. Next they iced up a limit of seabass, as well as 20 fluke to 8.5 pounds. Well done, boys!

July 17, 2023

It was a little rolly for Daran first trip of the season. They were able to keep three slot bass, after releasing countless over sized ones. Then we iced up a limit of sea bass. See this crew in the fall.

July 15, 2023

It was great having Vinny and the boys back on the boat with us, after not seeing them last year. We got the trip started off trolling for striped bass, which resulted in consistently bent rods. The guys put four slots in the box, and released a bunch of others. We then switched over to bottom fishing and put together a limit of black sea bass. The weather held off today for the most part. We had a couple of instances of rain, but it didn’t last long, and the sun was out for the majority of the day and the winds remained calm. Couldn’t ask for a better day!
