After being undecided about whether to go striped bass or sea bass fishing, and since we were getting out for the end of the tide, we decided to go bottom fishing. It was the right call, as the guys kept busy with some jumbo sea bass, ultimately filling the box with a few dozen fish. Great conditions, great fishing. Can't ask for anything more.

Six men dressed in jackets and hats, hold up 2 sea bass each as they smile for the camera.Undecided between striped bass and sea bass, we ultimately decided to go bottom fishing and it paid off handsomely with a few dozen fish for the box.

We had the pleasure of fishing for the first time with Don and crew today. Made it out for a beautiful sunrise, which was quickly hidden by clouds and some rain. But when the tide got going, the fish started chewing and the group of 9 boxed their limit of striped bass, along with a few bluefish, and also released a couple of albies. Great trip! Hoping to see them again next October.

Nine men wearing sweatshirts, jackets and outdoor gear, each smile and hold up the striped bass they caught. The sun didn’t last long today, but that didn’t stop the fish from chewing for Don and the boys.

We had the pleasure of fishing with Stu and friends this morning. The bass were a little picky and there were lots of shorts to fish through, but this crew did what they needed to!

We had the pleasure of fishing with Tom and the boys today for their first trip on the NOVEMBER RAIN. The guys, who typically fish in NJ, were treated to some of Montauk's best fishing today, putting their limit of striped bass in the box along with a handful of bluefish, topped off with two dozen jumbo sea bass and another dozen monster scup. Can't ask for more than that! Looking forward to seeing them again next fall!

A group of 5 men each hold up one to two bass with some scup in a bucket on the deck of the boat.Montauk style! Striped bass, blues, sea bass and scup. Doesn’t get better than this!

Two men smile and as each hold up a bluefish they caught.
