Had a great day today at Montauk's Blessing of the Fleet. Posted a few photos and video below. Unfortunately, the wind kept the ceremony in the harbor. Still, great to be blessed and to remember those who have past on.

Had Joseph and his buddies fish wth us this morning. Headed out in search of bass and bluefish. The bass were a bit uncooperative, but the bluefish kept the boys busy. The guys had to fish through some rain and fog, but that didn't deter them. Ended up with a tote full of fish. Plenty of laughs with these NR first-timers and hoping we'll see them again!
Had a late-day shark trip with James, Ludo and Luke today. Left the dock at noon and steamed about 15 miles down the middle. We set up in decent water, coupled with pea soup fog. Always a pleasure! Had a quiet couple of hours to start, but the action was non-stop once it started. At one point, we had three of our four rods hooked into sharks. The guys did an awesome job all around. A great day with another group of first-timers on the NOVEMBER RAIN. Hope to see them again.
Luke's strapped into the first blue dog of the day.
Here's a pic of James and Ludo, each fighting a shark…(more)
James on yet another. Smiling for the camera and making it look so easy…(more)
Here's a quick shot of one blue shark we released the boat…(more)

Spent the morning with John McCann and family. Started out with the wire and after being bombarded by bluefish, we decided to give the fluking a try. Hit a couple of spots and had some fish. Not a slaughter by any means, but I suppose you can't win them all. Except, of course, for George, who proudly displayed this bad boy!
Fished with Ben and crew for a late AM trip and the guys kept the rods bent all morning. Started out on the troll for bass and bluefish. Plenty of fish around, but a challenge finding the keeper bass. After an hour, we decided to switch over for fluke. Had a nice mix of fish--keepers and shorts--to round out the trip. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning!
Another nice fish for the box.
