Scott Little & crew back out on the November Rain! The bass bite pretty much just sucked. But we spent the better part of late morning/early afternoon bottom fishing and had no problem finding a limit of sea bass, along with another dozen or so porgs. Here are just a few! Not too shabby boys!

Today we had the pleasure of fishing with Larry Guerin for the second time. With the group looking for lots of action we decided to do some bottom fishing. We had lock and load sea bass fishing, catching over 50 jumbo sea bass. The rods were bent for hours with double headers as well as some big porgies in the mix. A great afternoon with good fishing as well as tons of laughs...

We turned back around Saturday evening with Kevin & crew for their annual trip. As always, the laughs were non-stop. Like the day trip, fishing could have been a little better, but the rods stayed bent with bass and bluefish for much of the night. Looking forward to getting these guys out again for more laughs (and fishing) next month!

We fished with Bucky Budweiser and crew for their annual trip. Laughs all day! The bass fishing could have been a little better, but we had some nice fish regardless. At slack tide, we switched over for some bottom fishing, which was phenomenal. We had 60+ sea bass, with dozens in the 3-4 pound class. Not a bad way to spend the day!

We fished today with John McDermott and crew in not such favorable conditions. The group was tough and stuck it out all day, which paid off with a great catch of slob bass and jumbo sea bass. Nicely done guys. Hope we see these first-timers again.

Jumbo sea bass in the mix as well.

Not bad for the first couple of drifts!

Katherine and Brian and friends sailed with us today as part of their bachelor/bachelorette party festivities. We steamed offshore and although we didn't have anything for the scales today, we had tons of action, including two little makos, a couple of blue dogs, a big hammerhead and a small mahi which found itself swimming through our slick. Also saw porpoises both coming and going. A great day of laughs with these first-timers. Congrats again and best of luck to both Katherine and Brian!

We sailed today for the second annual trip with Alan, Aaron and Steve. The ocean was anything but calm this morning—more like wicked—but we slowly made our way out. With wind against tide, we weren't able to bait fish in the morning, so we started with the wire. We had a couple of bass pretty quickly along with a few bluefish. After a couple of hours and not much more excitement, we steamed off to do some bottom fishing and put together a nice catch of sea bass and scup. We headed back inshore for the Flood tide and put the eels in the water, which proved to be very successful. A few drifts produced a few more bass (not all of which we kept). Not too shabby! What started out as a pretty crappy day on the water turned out to be a pretty good day. Looking forward to seeing the guys next July.
