Today we sailed with the Penzi family & friends. Left the dock at noon and fished the Ebb. We decided to start with the bass and it's a good thing we did. We limited out pretty quickly, with fish up to around 40 pounds. All fish were caught on eels. Once we had our load of bass, we switched over and spent a couple of hours fluking, which also proved to be successful. Lots of shorts in the mix, but we managed a few keeper flatties as well. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Our thanks to the gang for a great afternoon. There's nothing like being on the water! Catching fish just makes it that much better!

We had the pleasure of fishing with some friends this afternoon, TJ & Alex, Jason and Alex's dad, Ken. Left the dock at around noon and fished the Ebb. Started out fluking until the tide really got going and put a few nice keepers in the box pretty quickly. Then ran under the light and drifted eels which proved to be quite successful. We took six bass, from around 30 lbs up to 45.5 (actually, 45.45!) pounds. Nice job to Ken for fighting and landing that slob. Always a good time with these guys. So glad to have gotten them out for the afternoon.

Spent this morning fishing and laughing with Frank, Matt and Jimmy. Left the dock just in time for the Flood and had our 3 bass -- all of which were 30+ lbs -- by 7:30 am. Not a bad start to the day! With the remainder of the morning ahead of us, we switched over for fluke. Not nearly as successful as the bass, with tons of shorts, but we kept the rods bent and the laughs coming all morning long. Was great to be out with these guys and hope to do it again...until Frank gets the next Pancho!

We spent this morning with Robert Bonacker, along with his son, Dan, and buddies AJ and Mike. We couldn't have asked for a nicer way to start the day. Had the Flood all morning and fished with the eels. Three drifts and four slob bass late, it was 7:30 am and we were done bass fishing. If only fishing was this easy all the time! We spent the rest of the morning bottom fishing -- tried for the fluke first and saw a little action. Then switched it up for some scup, which kept the rods bent. This was a first trip on the NOVEMBER RAIN for these guys and we hope to see them again.
