We sailed this morning with Mike and Dino, leaving the dock at 6:00 a.m. We were out in time to catch the last hour or so of the flood and it was well worth it. We had our limit of four bass before slack and then a couple of others which were released during slack and once the ebb started.

Today, Capt. Steve and I had the pleasure of fishing with Matt Krupnick again. This is Matt's third trip with us, although the triplets didn't make this one. Rather, Matt's dad came out to catch a few slobs and that's exactly what we did. We left the dock at around 6:30 a.m. and fished the end of the ebb. It was a fairly quiet morning with a couple of bass and a mix of blues. Following slack, though, and once the flood really got going, the bite turned back on. The guys each kept their two fish and we released a few other bass and bluefish through the remainder of their trip. Good fishing, as usual, with Matt!

The boat sailed on Friday morning and evening with Capt. John at the helm. On both trips, the guys fished eels around the Slot and the Hump, and had good action throughout, limiting out with fish at 30+ lbs, which seems to be the norm these days.

Today we fished with Kevin, Matt, Al, Vinny, Mike & Mike. We left the dock around 6:00 and had about two hours of consistent action. Lots of bluefish in the mix, but they were worth fighting through for the bass. At slack, we ran to Cartwright and had jumbo seabass and porgies. We turned back in once the ebb started and finished the day around Great Eastern, with a few more slobs to fill the box.

We sailed this afternoon with Steve, Mike & Judy, leaving the dock at around noon, and again with the eels. We had some action as we fished the end of the ebb, then a lull during slack and then we had nothing but slobs once the flood started up again. Not as many fish as the morning, likely due to all of the boat traffic, but great quality, with all fish at 30+ lbs.

This morning, we sailed with Bobby Burns & company. This is Bobby's second trip fishing with us and the first for his 9-yr old son Robby, who, unfortunately, could not make it last year. We left the dock at around 6:00 a.m. and headed out with eels for the end of the flood. It was a slow start as the tide started to slack mid-morning, but the guys kept at it and we hammered them once the ebb started. Lots of bluefish out there, but the bass were plentiful as well!
