Brian Leshaw & the crew from Gettysburg College fished with us this morning. Fishing wasn't all the spectacular, though the laughs were plentiful. Not much of a bite on the eels, so we trolled chutes. Plenty of fish but you've got to weed through the shorts (and bluefish!) to find the keepers. These guys kept at it though and went home with plenty of fish for dinner. Here's the gang posing with one of their bass. We had a great time with these first-timers and hope to see them again next summer!

Spent the day with Rudy and crew today. We started the morning in search bass, which proved to be a challenge given the abundance of bluefish. Rather than pulling wire, we decided to try our luck bottom fishing. We hit a few pieces of bottom and although there were plenty of shorts in the mix, we managed some nice sea bass as well as fluke to fill the box. Not a bad day at all. Fished today with Mike Penna and his crew. We spent a good part of the day bottom fishing. By day's end, we had close to 50 jumbo sea bass as well as some scup. Great day on the water.

We fished today with Harry Simino and crew. We spent most of the afternoon catching jumbo sea bass. We fished for striped bass for a little while and kept the rods bent with some bluefish. Looking forward to having them back out with us again.

We fished today with Harry Simino and crew. We spent most of the afternoon catching jumbo sea bass. We fished for striped bass for a little while and kept the rods bent with some bluefish. Looking forward to having them back out with us again.

We headed back out this afternoon for a bass/bottom trip with the Anna Karpinskaia charter. We put the eels in the water and had action with the bass immediately. After catching three and keeping two (1 was a short!), we decided to do some bottom fishing, which did not disappoint in the PM. We ended up keeping about a dozen sea bass and another 6-8 scup. Great trip with these first-timers and we hope to see them again.
