We had the pleasure of sailing with the Krupnick family again this morning -- Matt, Emily, Julie and Noah. Given all of the striped bass we came back with yesterday, we decided to focus on bottom fishing only this morning. We had some action, though, admittedly, not as much as I had hoped for. I think Polly was watching us...and warning that we don't come back with toooooo much fish again! Always a great time with this gang. Looking forward to seeing them next summer.

The Krupnick clan sailed their first of two trips with us on Friday afternoon. As usual, Matt and triplets Noah, Emily and Julie filled the box with fish up to 37 pounds. These guys are just good luck. We've been fishing with them for the last 10+ years and they consistently put together a great catch. We're sailing with them again this morning and hope to come back with some fluke and sea bass. Wish us luck...

The Krupnick clan sailed their first of two trips with us on Friday afternoon. As usual, Matt and triplets Noah, Emily and Julie filled the box with fish up to 37 pounds. These guys are just good luck. We've been fishing with them for the last 10+ years and they consistently put together a great catch. On Friday morning, Steve and Gil sailed with father and son team Jim & Jim! One drift is all it took to land these guys a pair of bass. Not too shabby. The crew spend the remainder of the morning bottom fishing, which also didn't disappoint with an abundance of sea bass.

We spent Thursday afternoon with my mom, for her first fishing trip ever. We left the dock at around noon and while the plan was to do just a little bottom fishing, I really wanted to hook her into a bass...and we just did that. Within 5 minutes of her eel hitting the water, she was fighting a 30+ pound bass. And I must say, she was quite skillful! She brought the fish to the boat with little help from me and then didn't hesitate to grab it for a photo opp. Nicely done, mom! We spent the next couple of hours catching sea bass and just enjoying the afternoon.

We fished today with Ed Wagner and his group. The guys had a good time catching some striped bass, as well as some sea bass up to 4 pounds. A real nice afternoon on the water.

In the afternoon, we fished with Metrit and his crew. We left the dock during slack tide and started with some porgies and sea bass, which was a blast. When the tide got going, we headed back to lighthouse and started bass fishing. We had a few bass up to 35 pounds. It was good to see Metrit on the boat again. Another great afternoon for the guys.
