In the afternoon, we fished with Metrit and his crew. We left the dock during slack tide and started with some porgies and sea bass, which was a blast. When the tide got going, we headed back to lighthouse and started bass fishing. We had a few bass up to 35 pounds. It was good to see Metrit on the boat again. Another great afternoon for the guys.

[column one-fourth]We fished this morning with Richard Watson and his crew. With some younger anglers on the boat, we wanted to ensure lots of action. We headed out to do some bottom fishing. We had plenty of sea bass and porgies and the rods were bent all morning.

Pete Moss & gang fished with us this morning. It's been a couple of years since Pete sailed with us and it was good to have him back out. The conditions were less than ideal and the wind didn't stop huffing all morning. We tried for the bass first. However, after one short and some sloppy conditions, we decided to head to the south side and just do a little bottom fishing. The ocean wasn't much better over there, but the fishing was consistent with scup and an occasional sea bass. Not the trip we had planned for, but still a good morning. No pics today....

Sailed this afternoon with Mike, Mike, Brennan and Josh. It was a slow start to the trip. A bluefish bite here and there. The bass didn't come easy. However, the guys were still all laughs and their patience paid off. Just as I was telling them we weren't going back until I put fish on the boat, the first rod went off. A couple of drifts later, we had our four bass. Nicely done guys! Thanks for the laughs
